The nemaline myopathy (NEM) nosography may encompass classical nemaline myopathy, cap disease, and actin filament aggregation myopathy, the latter with or without additional rods, as different stages under guidance or misguidance by different NEM-related genes during the development and maturational process of muscle fibre formation.
